Fast Facts & Owner FAQs

European car care, made simple. We measure before we replace, document the work, and match Liqui Moly to the exact OEM approvals. Start here for quick answers on booking, diagnostics, warranties, and what to expect in the bay.

Do you service hybrids or newer EV drivetrains?

We don’t service pure EVs. For European hybrids, we handle routine maintenance and conventional repairs—brakes, suspension, engine‑side service, and 12‑volt diagnostics. We don’t work on high‑voltage systems (traction battery, inverter/drive unit, HV A/C compressor). If a repair requires HV work, we’ll refer you to a dedicated EV specialist.

Is a code scan the same as diagnostics?

No. A code is a clue. Diagnostics confirm the actual fault with electrical and mechanical tests before any parts are replaced.

Do you keep digital service history?

Yes. We maintain detailed digital records with photos and data, available to you on request.

Do you work with extended warranties or service contracts?

Yes—we document the findings, coordinate approvals, and outline your portion clearly at pickup.

How long will my repair take?

We’ll give you a timeline after diagnostics. Many services finish the same day; complex work depends on parts availability. We’ll keep you updated.

Can I speak with the technician?

Yes—when it helps, we’ll loop in the tech and share notes and photos so you see exactly what we found.

What payment methods do you accept?

Major credit/debit cards. No personal checks. If you need options, ask—we’ll walk you through what’s available.

Can I keep or see my old parts?

Absolutely—just ask. We’ll save them for pickup and photograph them in your work order for your records.

Do you charge a diagnostic assessment fee?

Yes. Testing time and tooling are a service. If you approve our recommended repair, we may apply part of the fee to the job.

Can I bring my own parts?

We source parts we trust and can warranty. Outside parts often block testing and warranty, so we generally decline except for rare cases.

Do you handle alignments and tires?

We handle most maintenance and repair in‑house and partner locally for alignments or tire mounting when needed—so your car sees one continuous workflow.

Do you provide loaners or rides?

We don’t offer loaners at this time. We’re happy to help coordinate a rideshare and keep you updated on timing.

Do you offer after‑hours drop‑off?

Yes—use our secure key drop. Leave your contact info and we’ll confirm next business day.

Do you take walk‑ins?

Appointments are best. Call or text and we’ll fit you in if we have an opening. We also offer secure key drop.

What is a “baseline service” after buying a used European car?

Correct‑approval oil and filters, full scan, safety check, and targeted items like plugs or fluids as needed—so you start from known good.

Do you offer pre‑purchase inspections (PPI)?

Yes. Full scan, road test, and a focused inspection for model‑specific issues. You’ll get photos and a prioritized list before you buy.

Do you service modified cars?

Mild bolt‑ons and tunes are fine. We’ll note how mods affect diagnostics and maintenance. Very heavy builds are reviewed case‑by‑case.

Do you use Liqui Moly fluids exclusively?

Yes. We match Liqui Moly to the exact OEM approvals for each car—e.g., VW 504/507, BMW LL‑01/LL‑04, Porsche A40/C30, and the appropriate Mercedes‑Benz approvals. Approvals matter more than brand names.

What makes your diagnostics different?

We measure before we replace. Scan → test plan → verify. You get photos, data, and clear next steps—no parts roulette.

Can I approve repairs by text or online?

Yes. We send a secure link for digital approval. Everything is time‑stamped and saved for your records.

Will I get a written estimate before work begins?

Yes. Every job includes a clear estimate with parts, labor, and options. Nothing starts without your approval.

Do your repairs come with a warranty?

Yes—24‑month/24,000‑mile coverage on most repairs. If a part has different terms, we’ll note it on your estimate.

Which brands do you service?

Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, MINI, Mercedes‑Benz, and Porsche. We stay focused on these makes so we can go deep on the details.
